Red evokes the strongest emotions of any color. It demands attention, stimulates the brain, and speaks of passion and strength. It is best used in small doses because it can easily overshadow other colors. We love using it in combination with other bold colors creating a space that is refreshing and full of energy.
For this edition of the color of the month, Sherwin Williams’s Heartthrob is the red we associate with boldness and self-confidence. We chose it as an accent throughout the project as it matches the red in the company logo. In the lobby, we used a matching fabric on the chairs to make a powerful statement and connect guests to the brand. The chairs mixed with metal, black and white elements capture the forward momentum of this company. The green of the moss wall as well as the yellow flowers inside and outside balance the strength of the red perfectly. This is a great example of using red in combination with other bold colors.
