RESIDENTIAL: RETREAT IN THE SKY

The client, a criminal lawyer, wanted a retreat from the chaos of the courtroom when he stepped into his new penthouse in Pittsburgh. As a world traveler, he collected artwork and antiques. We created a serene envelope for his furnishings to shine.  We added columns to define the space in the open floor plan and corridors allowing the eye to stop and appreciate the artwork.

A blue theme was created with the design of the kitchen and backsplash selection. The master bedroom tile inspired the use of silk wallcovering to add to the warmth of the room. The mix of new and existing furnishings with the owner’s artwork achieved his dream of a retreat in the sky.
