We had the opportunity to design this living room as part of an addition to an existing home. Our client’s favorite color is green, which inspired us to center the design around a statement rug and a bold green sofa.
We added benches on each side of the fireplace for additional seating and display cases above to showcase her favorite pieces. We chose a bright white textured tile for the fireplace wall, which served as the perfect backdrop for the bright colors we were using.
The curved white detail of the sofa table connects with the fireplace while the different shades of browns ground the room. Luxurious silk curtains with velvet trim frame the windows. We worked meticulously to create the right balance of texture and colors as to not overpower the room. The artwork by Mia Tarducci adds the perfect finishing touch to this colorful and refined space.
This living room is now our client’s favorite space, inviting and cheerful no matter the weather.
