Hello Friends!

I hope that your summer is filled with fun, relaxation and travel. I find myself daydreaming of the beach. My son and I lived in Naples, Florida for a few years. We enjoyed our proximity to the Gulf, with its soft waves, clear water and white sand. We discovered the joy of spending an afternoon at the beach and feeling as if we were on a mini vacation. Priceless!

In Pittsburgh I am lucky to have access to a pool to get away for a few hours on a hot summer day. What do you do to stay cool on a summer day?

FRENCH-SATIONAL FINDS

Here at Montague Design, we love colors — and use them liberally in our designs. Sometimes, though, our clients are concerned about committing to them.

An easy way to add color (with minimal commitment) is by incorporating seasonal accessories into home décor that can be switched with the seasons.

I am in love with this retro pool side furniture and umbrellas by Business and Pleasure Co! The soft hues remind me of the French Riviera in the early 20th century.

CLIENT SPOTLIGHT

We may not have the beach in Pittsburgh, but we can escape in our own backyard!

Our clients did just that by creating a summer haven complete with a resort-worthy pool, hot tub, fire and sunbathing deck. The pool includes an upper deck and waterfall that creates another refreshing area to relax.
