We are thrilled to share that we will be designing 26 bedrooms for Bethlehem Haven, which will provide shelter to local women experiencing homelessness.
Designing these meaningful spaces will be such a rewarding experience. Working with the women, we will create rooms that give them beauty, pride, agency, and refuge. Providing a more therapeutic living environment will have a lasting impact.

Our work with Bethlehem Haven has three goals: to provide each resident with a sense of self, equity and pride; to help them develop a sense of responsibility for how to take care of their environment; and to create a living space that’s beautiful and peaceful.

A note from Catherine:
Beyond design, I care about giving back, particularly to organizations that support women. So when the opportunity to collaborate with Bethlehem Haven on designing and sourcing the furnishings for its 1410 Fifth Ave. renovation project came along, it felt like the perfect fit.

Taking care of one’s environment is an extension of taking care of one’s self. A lot of these women have had a major trauma in their lives. This is to help prepare them for a new life. Our designs are infused with love, empathy and a Frenchsational sense of fun.

We recently shared our proposed mood boards with the women of Bethlehem Haven, looking at bedding colors and patterns to get their feedback. We discussed what these women need in their spaces. It was a rewarding experience enabling us to gain crucial alignment before moving forward with the creation of 26 bedrooms for women in need of shelter.
